Random Link of the Day

-3 Fast 3 3urious: I never believed the "Fast and the Furious" movies to be anything more than intestinal scrape, which falls in line with everything else Jerry Bruckheimer has had a hand in. Still, this is a good parody and worth the click.

RLOTD Archives:

A Ninja Pays Half My Rent: About the most demented, clever thing I've seen in a long time. Click and laugh.

Buddy Rich vs. Animal: A brief and much-needed dose of Muppety goodness. I used to play the skins myself once upon a time. Wasn't great at it, wasn't terrible. Take a gander and click away. I think you'll like what you see.

Jaws in 30 Seconds (with bunnies): This probably won't make you smarter, but it will make you laugh.

My Little Transformer: Words elude me regarding this site, but Silas and Mary have created something extremely cool via their stop-motion short movies of life centering around these giants of the 80's. And, based on this, a link is most definitely in order...

Because I Lack All Respect for your Mental Well-Being: Actually, there is entire respect for your brain meats and the thoughts within. Still, the mighty chinchilla must be the acknowledged, revered and addressed in a proper fashion. Cute to the nth degree, furry and entirely harmless. Kindly hug your chinchilla today.

Jibble's Wedding Page: Apparently Jibble (geek extraordinaire) went, fell in love and did the entirely reasonable and tax-advantageous action of getting married recently. While I have no idea what to make of this, the vacation photos are incredible and I wish him the best in this. Take a gander and remember that e-mailing him your best wishes technically counts as a wedding gift along one level or another.

FUH2.com: While I've tended to veer away from the political on this site, I have no respect whatsoeverfor the Hummer 2 trend. Yes, it's a vehicle that is officially the largest, most pretentious way of getting to and from the organic food market, but to have the most ostentatious thing on the road simply for the sake of having it brings back a Dennis Miller line: "A Humvee being driven through the jungles of Borneo is a TOOL. A Humvee being rolling down Rodeo Drive is being DRIVEN by a tool." And thus, following a less-than-subtle quote on the topic, is FUH2.com, a site that bathes in its revulsion at this vehicle and its target market.

The Door: This just bloody defies description.

The Story About the Baby, Volume 32: A sick, twisted, sardonic and funny rendition of what to do with your new mammalian offspring. Not poorly intentioned, but I think it captures the feeling of a new father trying to adjust to what's involved. And let's face it, I'd be a tad bit confuzzled if the duties of fatherhood ever landed in my lap, what with two accidental toaster fires to date. Read on.

Bothering Snape: Just plain bloody weird and actually well-executed, all things considered. Not a raging Harry Potter nerd, but the books are enjoyable and it's nice to see something out there that gets the kids interested in reading in the first place. Either way, the link's worth a gander.

"The State" Archives: For 13 episodes in the wretched time frame known as the early 90's, MTV actually had a show worth watching with "The State". All the episodes in QuickTime format for all your retro geek needs.

CatPrin: Makers of fine clothing for your cat. I have no idea whose demented idea this is, but for some reason frog and chick hats for your gato seem to be selling. And why not? Just look at those sparkling feline eyes as they wonder just what the hell the human has strapped to their skulls?

Snow Globe of Doom: Seasonal, a tad sadistic and a very nice chunk of code if you think about it.

Oddtodd.com: A random site, but funny, interesting and honestly pretty heartfelt. Job hunting is awful, but the cartoons on the site make it all the easier, especially when you know you're not alone.

Macboy.com: A great source for Mac cartoons and geekiness.

Sidetalkin': Let'sd face it, anything that makes fun of the N-Gage has merit. So does this.

Nematoad Goodness: Because no amount of explanation will ever suffice for this.

Sex Tips for Geeks: Never let it be said that I never tried to be helpful.

Floofy Angora Rabbits: When rabbits, their maniacal owners and hair care products go awry. Thank you, Cohen, for this bit of oddness.

Weezil Page of Doom: Further proof that ferrets will one day rule the earth via means of sock theft.

National Slacker Day: Not QUITE as dire and unproductive as you'd think, but the marketing for the event needed more effort. Oh well.

Octodog: For when your hot dog absolutely, positively has to look like an octopus.

Wikipedia: Essentially a free, open-source encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Thanks to Jason Whong for pointing this out.

MagFest 2: The Mid-Atlantic Gaming Festival. Pure geekdom concentrated over three days. Sign up or Brendan Becker won't get that puppy he keeps clamoring for.

JamezBond: Corey pointed me to this albeit I will never understand it, it remains enjoyable. Just click and enjoy the oddness that is the Flash media protocol.

Strong Bad Techno: Because Homestarrunner.com will never die. And this is a good thing.

-Black People Love Us: Twisted, yet amusing beyond belief.

-Trailervision: Trailers for movies that don't exist. I highly recommend "Rave Cops" and "Kung-Fu Jesus".
